We first took Richard to hospital in April, due to a lot of issues with his eyes, they were constantly watering, he was in a lot of pain and it was a struggle for him to see.

The doctors said that his condition was due to severe allergies and prescribed him with eye drops. By October his eyes had not improved at all, so we took him back to another hospital where he was prescribed more medication. Shortly after this, Richard was sponsored to Haradali; the teachers noticed that his eyes were causing him a significant amount of pain, so  much that he was unable to keep them open in the sun.

Dominic, the sponsor coordinator took him to see specialist doctors in Moshi, where it was decided he required surgery. This will be happening on Saturday, so we will keep you updated on the results!
